TGP – the Database on Promoters for Plant Transgenesis

Promoter is an important element of genetic construct which provides appropriate pattern of transgene expression. However, there are no information resources collecting data on promoters for plant transgenesis. Here we describe a database on promoters which activities were experimentally verified (http://wwwmgs.bionet.nsc.ru/mgs/dbases/tgp_ru/home.html) . The database was built on the Sequence Retrieval System (SRS) platform providing an opportunity for rapid search for promoters with certain characteristics.
