Synchronization in a Neural Network of Hodgkin-Huxley Neurons with a Central Element

Abstract. Using bifurcation analysis and computer simulations we study different types of synchronization in a neural network of Hodgkin-Huxley neurons with a central element. The results are applied to model selective attention. It is shown that the model can solve the task of consecutive selection of objects in a visual scene.
